Why MOQ changes
A factory MOQ is the result of a production route
The same manufacturer can reasonably give different minimums for two designs because the materials, setup and SKU structure are different.
Material supplier minimums
Fabric, colour, labels, filling and packaging vendors may each impose a minimum purchase or setup quantity.
Fixed development & setup
Pattern approval, sourcing, embroidery files, cutting preparation and production coordination are required even for a smaller order.
SKU and colour fragmentation
Splitting one total quantity across multiple characters, sizes or colourways can make every variation behave like a separate small run.
Sample cost
A sample fee is not the price of one finished toy
The fee supports development work needed to turn artwork or a reference into a physical prototype. Bulk production pricing is calculated separately after the product direction is sufficiently defined.
